Boot and Bonnet
I decided to use the boot from another car that I had picked up from ebay. It did have a substantial patch of rust behind the number plate but it had better edges than the original. This has now been stripped and treated with Phosclean B and stored in the attic.
It was difficult to choose which of the two bonnets to use as the basis for the repairs. The original bonnet had a lot of rot and repairs around the clamps but the D plates and wheel arches had already been replaced. The repairs were not too bad. As the donor bonnet had this work still to do I decided to use this to cut out donor panels.
